Development

I apologise if the sound is a bit jumpy in places, i don't know how it happened.
This is my video for 'Danger line' with still a sequence of editing to do.

clips like the photo being torn and the train will be cut down/edited, as they are placeholders for future work.

Lyrics

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6PRfDJQY_Y8

This is a video by avenged sevenfold - the band which the song I chose is by.
It contains a moving and scrolling backdrop along with lyrics, which appear on the screen, in time with the song and then move.

This is something which can help people to like the song by allowing them to know the words. This helps the company to sell their record and maintain higher profits.

I am going to implement this feature into my video, as I believe it will help people keep watching the video without losing interest.
After some debate I am also removing the flash elements from my video, as they are too sparsely needed to be effective. I will replace the flash elements with the scrolling lyrics and use a moving backdrop.

This is my completed magazine advertisement for my digipak.
I think there is a lot of continuity between this and my digipak, as I have used the same photo, the same fonts and colours of text. This continuity helps the reader build a mental image of the digipak.
I kept the colours quite vibrant on the picture, to help the advertisement stand out in the magazine, which is the main purpose of it. If i had kept it Black & White, It wouldn't stand out as effectively. I think the white text also contributes to this,

Additional Research

The video 'the right to go insane' includes something which will aid my music video, which I plan to use; On screen text and narrative aids.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m20sJNgZ17U

this video is similar in genre and narrative theme to the song I have chosen. It contains multiple uses of extra on-screen narrative aids.
At 0:18 is the one I would like to include a variant of in my video.
I feel that Narrative is important to my video, so this will help clear up any misunderstandings the viewer may have with the video.

My final Digipak inside.

This is the final version of the inside of my Digipak.
It features a panoramic photo f the inside of a room, which fades to black around the edges. It will house Two CD discs, one with the tracks on, one with special bonuses and extras. I made the centre of the image the main focal point, with a disc on either side.

This idea was meant to contrast the cover, which is in black and white, and features the outside of the house.
Although in colour, it isn't bright or vibrant, and his contributes to the dark and almost depressing effect. which is symbolic of Metal.

I also deliberately haven't included and actors on the pictures, because I wanted to create an empty feeling - a feeling of lonliness.

Magazine advertisement dimensions

I took these from NME magazine.

Dimensions
Full Page 283 mm X 225 mm
Half Page (h) 140 mm X 225 mm
Half Page (v) 283 mm X 111 mm
Quarter Page 140 mm X 111 mm
Eighth Page (hl) 68 mm X 111 mm
Sixteenth Page (h) 32 mm X 111 mm

I plan to do my advert in the format of a half page, which i may find easier because the image i plan to use is a panorama, which is very wide.

I plan to add various effects to the picture like i did with my digipak cover, and then add a large title.
